Sync App Using Winscp

Have you ever felt tired of using Itunes to sync just one app and it took a gazillion amount of time to backup and other stuff?  Now here's a way to sync app without Itunes.  Yes! Using Winscp.  Here's how you do it:

What you need:
  1. A jailbroken Iphone/Itouch (If you haven't done it, please click on this link to view the tutorial on how to jailbreak your Iphone/Itouch)
  2. OpenSSH (You can install it through Cydia)
  3. SBsetting (Easy tool to respire, install through Cydia)
  4. Winscp (Download it by clicking on this link)
  5. The .ipa file of the apps you want to install (download apps through apptrackr.org)
  6. And most importantly, make sure your computer can Extract .zip files.  Most computers come with this function.  If not, download Winzip (just google it, it will come up easily).
If you have all of them, then let's get started :)
1. Rename your .ipa file into xxx.zip (xxx is the name of your app.  e.x. If your app is Zenonia.ipa, the renamed one is Zenonia.zip)
2. Extract the xxx.zip file.  After Extraction, you will see this:
3. Click on Payload, and you will find the folder named xxx.app.  In that folder is the same thing after you've installed it through Itunes.  So, now what you have to do is simply copy it into the Application folder in your Itouch/Iphone through Winscp
4. Make sure your OpenSSH is open on your Iphone/Itouch.  Open Winscp, if you don't know how to use Winscp, here's the tutorial.
5. In Winscp, go to /private/var/stash/Application.  Then drag your xxx.app folder under /private/var/stash/Application folder.
6. After it's done copying.  Right click on xxx.app folder on your Itouch/Iphone side, and chmod 777, then check Set Group, owner, and permissions reclusively (If not, your app won't launch).:
7. Now, just use SBsettings to respire your Iphone/Itouch.  And then Enjoy your new app :)

Notes: There's a major disadvantage of doing this is that you can't update your app through Itunes or Installous since you didn't install it through them.  So for those apps that needs updates, I strongly suggest install them through Itunes and Installous.
